Feature Film : Into the Woods + Maleficent

Curl up with a nice cup of coffee (adult hot chocolate) snuggled under some blankets and pop in a movie! Doesn’t this sound like the perfect way to end the weekend! Today here are a couple movies to end the week (or start the week)!

Into the Woods is packed with A list actors such as Chris Pine, as the prince charming, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella, Meryl Streep as the Wicked Witch, Johnny Depp as the Big Bad Wolf, and Emily Blunt as the Bakers Wife! This film is the off spring of Les Miserables and all the Disney Princesses movies! What’s not to enjoy?

Maleficent tells a different story of the classic Sleeping Beauty, instead it follows Maleficent, the vengeful fairy who is driven to curse the princess. Only to later realize she may be the only person who can restore peace to their troubled land. Angelina Jolie is impeccable, as well as Elle Fanning and let’s not forget Vivienne Jolie-Pitt (yes that is Brangelina’s daughter) who plays the young Aurora. Although the actors were amazing the one thing that impressed me most was definitely the Costume Design by Anna B. Sheppard. It’s no wonder the Costume Design is nominated for an Oscar, this is Sheppard’s third nomination for this category. She was previously nominated for The Pianist and Schindler’s List.

The Academy Awards : Nominations!

It may be Super Bowl Sunday and the one day every female goes all out and throws an amazing get together for football, but we all know that after today everyone is going to binge watch all the Oscar movies (no? just me?). Well be prepared to watch the best Oscar nominated movies (or at least my favorites) every weekend leading up to The Academy Awards  on Feb 22. Here is a list of my favorite Oscar Nominated movies this year (or at least a list of ones that I will watch before the Award show). Feature Film : Chanel No. 5 Set : The Costume Design

Probably one of my favorite parts of this film, the fashion! Catherine Martin has worked alongside Baz Luhrmann on many films including the costume design for The Great Gatsby and Moulin Rouge.
