Home Away From Home : Dianna Agron

This week we came across the backyard makeover from DomaineHome.com of the ‘glee‘ful actress Dianna Agron. She showed us her take on the backyard get together. My favorite thing are the white peacock wicker chairs at the table ends (and her black matte oven).

Home Away From Home : Victoire de Taillac-Touhami

Take a peek inside the entrepreneur, art director, and designer, Ramdane Touhami and his wife, Victoire de Taillac-Touhami’s Paris Penthouse! This penthouse is on the Rue du Bac, perched atop an eighteenth-century hotel particulier built for the daughter of Louis XIV’s finance minister, with amazing views of the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. My favorite is the bright purple dining room!

Home Away From Home : F. Scott Fitzgerald Suite

The Fitzgerald Suite in New York City’s Plaza Hotel was designed by the Oscar winning costume and production designer Catherine Martin of 2013’s The Great Gatsby (only fitting). The linens in the suite are embroidered with Jay Gatsby’s monogram, which is locked inside a daisy motif representing his long lost love. This suite is stocked with vintage board games and custom made Tiffany & Co. playing cards (F. Scott Fitzgerald was one of their biggest clients). Take a tour of the modern 1920’s!

Home Away From Home

It only makes sense to explore the home of Sophia Bush with her season two premiere of Chicago P.D. last week! Not only is she an amazing actress, fashionista, and activist, but she also has amazing home decor taste (not fair) not to mention she’s gorgeous (how does one get dimples like those!)  Below is a peek into her three-bedroom two bath home in the hills. Between filming on location for NBCs Chicago PD and globetrotting with Pencils of Promise, and other organizations like DoSomething.org it’s no wonder the actress found lithe time to settle into her Hollywood hills home. Bought in 2010, it wasn’t until last year that Sophia enlisted the help of the Domaine editors Estee Stanley and Mat Sanders to transform her space into a sociable home.

Home Away From Home : John Mayer

Reminiscing at the older spread of Elle Decor where Mr. John Mayer lets us take a look in his 2,500-square-foot apartment in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood. “If my apartment could make me feel the way I do in Mr. Armani’s suits, life would be really wonderful.” Mayer recalls thinking when he bought his SoHo spread. With that the Armani/Casa design team agreed to help. “I wanted to create a sophisticated environment for John,” the fashion icon says, “one that will bring as much pleasure to him as his music brings to us.”

Home Away From Home

Back in March 2014, 21 year old model Karlie Kloss (WHAT, she’s only 21, excuse me while I have a mini heart attack), opened up her first home in New York City to Vogue Magazine. This has to be one of my favorite homes, much more my style, gold accented shelves and chairs with fur blankets and cushions in a white walled room.

Kloss had purchased her West Village town house just last year! Few other 21 year olds have the means to buy (let alone rent) such an impressive town house in one of Manhattan’s most-sought-after neighborhoods. “I’ve worked really hard to be in this position.” She travels the world for her job and now she felt it was time to plant some roots.

When it came to the interior of the home it was unknown territory for Kloss, “I really had no experience at all decorating or being a homeowner, I knew I wanted to make it mine, but I wasn’t quite sure how to go about doing that.” Kloss was introduced to Nate Berkus (I know him as Oprah’s interior prodigy) through a mutual friend. The two set about creating a home that reflects Kloss’s personal style and age. Kloss and Berkus left room to grow in the multi level house. Kloss calls the guest bedroom “shove-everything-in-there-and-close-the-door room” but at some point she wants to convert it into an office.
