Charles James has shaped the fashion industry like no one else. Now he is being honored by the most fashionable gala!
The Charles James: Beyond Fashion exhibit will be held in the newly renovated Costume Institute and will explore the career of the legendary twentieth-century Anglo-American couturier Charles James (1906-1978). The exhibit will examine James’s design process, focusing on his innovative tailoring that influence designers still today. About 75 of James’s most notable designs will be presented in the new Anna Wintour Costume Center.
