Feature Film : The Theory of Everything

This film is one for the books (seriously, better love story than any Nicholas Sparks) it follows the life of famous physicist Stephen Hawking and his wife Jane (Felicity Jones…her name alone screams hollywood star). Eddie Redmayne plays a striking version of the young Stephen as he battles with a fatal illness while attending Cambridge in the 1960’s. Eddie’s progression of Stephen’s battle with this disease is absolutely captivating. He truly deserves the Oscar for Actor in a Leading Role, alongside Felicity Jones for Actress in a Leading Role, Best Picture, Music, and Writing ; the only snub for this film was Costume Design (coming from a Fashion Design Graduate) the clothing was simply perfect!

But seriously can we just take a second to look at this gorgeous man!

Weekend Movie: And While We Were Here

This weekend we watched And While We Were Here starring Kate Bosworth and Jamie Blackley (hello handsome)! The movie focuses on Jane (Kate Bosworth) and her husband as they head to Naples for her husband’s cellist performance. Jane soon encounters an unexpected romance with a young American. This is truly a beautiful storyline and an amazing film! Luckily, it’s on Netflix so you can snuggle up with some hot chocolate (or coffee) without even leaving your home! Let us know what you think of the film!

As everyone knows, one of the best comedic performers has passed. Robin Williams passed away Monday afternoon at the age of 63. As a huge fan of Robin Williams, I am here like most to celebrate the life he lived, through a series of my favorite films. Below are some of my favorite excerpts of just a select few of his films. He’s proven to be an excellent comedian as well as receiving Oscar and Golden Globe nods/wins for his dramatic roles. He has blessed us with countless movies and several characters we’ve grown to love, but one of my favorite characters is Robin Williams himself. We are lucky enough to be able to look back at certain films and remember the life he lived and the joy he brought to others. I can definitely say my childhood wouldn’t be the same without half of the 90’s films Robin starred in. Thank you for teaching me to laugh, cry, be creative, and express your inner manic weirdness!

“You-you alone will have the stars as no one else has them…In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night…You-only you- will have stars that can laugh.” -Antoine De Saint-Exupery
